How easy is it to open an account online?
The process is straightforward and quick. All you have to do is complete the fields in the online application and attach all required supporting documents:
1. Identity Card or Passport
2. Proof of Permanent Residence Address in your name, not older than 6 months
3. Proof of Income, not older than 3 months.

Do I have to visit an Alpha Bank Branch?
You don’t have to visit a Bank Branch to apply for opening an account. A meeting with a Bank Officer is, however, necessary at the last stage of the process for signing purposes. For your own convenience, you can choose any Branch of our Network or any other place after consulting with us.
Can I choose the date and time of my meeting with a Relationship Officer?
You can choose the place, date, time and meeting point for signing the documents during your telephone conversation with the Relationship Officer, upon consultation and subject to availability.

The process is addressed to European citizens, residents in Cyprus, aged over 18. Proof of Permanent Residence in Cyprus issued to your name is a prerequisite.

Yes, you can! Instead of Proof of Income, in the relevant field of the online form please attach a certificate of study, signed by the Educational Institution you are attending.
