The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Vasileios Rapanos, and the CEO of Alpha Bank Group, Vassilios Psaltis, carried out an important visit to Cyprus.
The series of meetings held by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Vasileios Rapanos, and the Group CEO, Vassilios Psaltis, highlighted the great importance that Alpha Bank Group places on the growth potential and the positive outlook of the Cyprus economy, as well as its determination to strengthen its footprint in the Cypriot market and serve as a reliable banking partner for businesses and individuals.
As part of their visit, they held constructive meetings with:
the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides,
Archbishop George of Cyprus,
the Minister of Finance, Makis Keravnos,
the Governor of the Central Bank, Constantinos Herodotou.
The Alpha Bank Group leadership was accompanied by the Chairman of the Board of Alpha Bank Cyprus, Michalis Kolakides, the CEO, Miltos Michaelas, and other senior executives of the Group.
Meetings were also held with the business community of Cyprus, demonstrating the Group's strong footprint in the Cypriot market.

New period of growth in Cyprus
The transformation programme of Alpha Bank Cyprus is in full swing, signalling the beginning of a new period of growth for the Bank in Cyprus.

Supporting the establishment of Cyprus as an international business centre
At the meeting with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Group CEO Vassilios Psaltis stressed the Group’s confidence in the substantial potential and positive outlook for Cyprus and its economy, which is achieving high growth rates and demonstrating commendable resilience in a period of heightened international challenges. He expressed the Group's support to the Government's efforts to establish Cyprus as an international business centre.
The Alpha Bank Group CEO also briefed the President on the Bank’s new period of extroversion and growth in Cyprus. Other topics discussed at the meeting included the recent geopolitical developments in the wider region which are affecting Cyprus, as well as the progress achieved in the implementation of the investments and projects under the Recovery and Resilience Facility in Greece and Cyprus.
During his meeting with the Minister of Finance, the Group CEO, Vassilios Psaltis stated: “We are here to underline our willingness to contribute to Cyprus’ growth narrative by further strengthening Alpha Bank Cyprus. For his part, the Minister of Finance, Makis Keravnos, said: “I am particularly pleased that Alpha Bank has decided to pursue its growth in Cyprus and to implement a growth plan that is also in line with the goals of the Cypriot Government. We have identified areas where synergies and partnerships can be developed.”
The leadership team of the Group and of the Cypriot subsidiary held working meetings with Customers of the Bank in the Cypriot market. During the visit, the Group’s senior executives had the opportunity to discuss in detail with the Management, executives and Staff of Alpha Bank Cyprus the progress of the Bank’s transformation programme, which marks the beginning of a new period of growth in Cyprus. During the visit to Cyprus, the Group’s team of executives visited the Network’s Branches in Nicosia and Limassol, as well as the Administration Building in Nicosia, where they discussed with members of the Staff.
