Alpha Student Loan

• Maximum loan amount per student €75.000 to cover fees and tuition expenses at college/ university, as well as living costs (rent, home start-up equipment, etc.) in Cyprus and abroad
• Grace period for the repayment of capital of up to 3 years (interest payments only)
• Maximum loan duration of up to 15 years for loans with tangible security and up to 10 years for the rest
• Opening of a special account designed for all young individuals aged from 18 to 28 years, Alpha Start Up account
• Cash withdrawals with Alpha Bank Enter Mastercard from any ATM in Cyprus and abroad, without any charge from Alpha Bank
• 50% discount on the purchase of foreign currency for the use of the student
• Preferential pricing for the Insurance plan “Students Medical Hypercover” by Altius Insurance
• Option for total or partial disbursement of the loan amount, on the basis of the documentation provided
• No costs for early repayment/ partial repayment of the loan

For the granting of the loan it is required that:

• The loan is undertaken jointly by the student and at least one parent/ guardian
• All required tuition documents are submitted (student identity card/ registration certificate/ education certificate/ letter for the payment of the tuition fees).
• Granting of the loan is subject to the provision of adequate collaterals in favour of Alpha Bank.

• Fluctuating interest rate: Consumer Loan Base Rate (CLBR) plus margin. The percentage rate of the margin is determined according to the customer’s contribution

• The consumer has the right to withdraw from the loan agreement within 5 working days from the signing thereof, provided no amount under the agreement has been disbursed.  
• If you fail to pay your installments on a regular basis, you run the risk of losing your home.
• There are charges for early loan repayment.
• The amount of the installment and the total cost of the facility may increase or decrease depending on base rate fluctuations.

• The consumer has the right to withdraw from the loan agreement within 14 days from the signing thereof or from the date of receiving the terms of the loan agreement, in case such date is subsequent to the date of signing of the agreement.
