These accounts are maintained in foreign currency and are credited by cash flows from abroad. They are aimed at non-Cypriot residents, international businesses, repatriates and generally anyone who has income in foreign currency or cash flows from abroad.
External accounts may be opened in the form of current, savings, notice or fixed deposit accounts and they operate according to the features of the account type chosen. In addition, the balance of an external account may be converted into another currency. |
